Shattered Histories: stories from the narthex windows

This semester students from Professor Elyzabeth Wilder’s Solo Performance class partnered with The Roberson Project to investigate the narthex windows at All Saints through a narrative lens. Using research from the Glazing a History project, students explored the characters and stories featured in the windows, while also considering the stories that have been left out. The students have created Shattered Histories: stories from the narthex windows which will feature original 2 minute monologues that work in conversation with the windows.

This piece of site-specific micro-theatre will be performed in the narthex of All Saint’s on Monday, March 3rd at 7pm, 7:30, and 8pm. Each performance runs 20 minutes. Micro-theatre is a short theatrical piece performed in an intimate space for a small audience (generally less than 15 people). By performing the piece in a site-specific location, the architecture of the physical space helps to inform the storytelling creating an immersive experience for the audience.
